Reservations are encouraged to allow the kitchen to prepare thoughtfully around the season’s ingredients and daily harvest. For Chef’s Table experiences and larger groups, advance booking is recommended.

Cooking at Lum Orng begins with understanding the ingredients.
Each morning, guests joining the Lum Orng Cooking School are welcomed into a relaxed and immersive culinary experience designed to share the stories, flavors, and traditions behind Cambodian cuisine.
The experience starts with a walk through the restaurant gardens, where guests are introduced to seasonal herbs, native vegetables, and ingredients commonly used throughout Khmer cooking. Along the way, Chef Sothea and the kitchen team explain how Cambodian flavors are shaped by local produce, regional influences, and generations of culinary tradition.
Back in the kitchen, guests prepare four dishes inspired by the Lum Orng menu while learning practical techniques, balancing flavors, and the cultural significance behind each recipe.
More than simply following recipes, the cooking school invites guests to slow down, ask questions, and experience Cambodian food through hands-on learning.
Whether joining as a passionate home cook or simply curious about Khmer cuisine, the class offers a deeper connection to Cambodia’s culinary identity — one ingredient at a time.
